Evan Saviolidis

 

One of Canada's leading young wine experts, Evan Saviolidis is a Wine Educator and Journalist with Canada's leading wine publication, Tidings. He also works for the International Sommelier Guild as one of the few "Flying Sommeliers", a group of globally certified individuals who travel abroad, teaching the art of Sommelier and wine appreciation. To date he has taught in 20 schools across Canada and the United States.

When taking a respite as a road warrior, Evan undertakes duties as a wine judge and a consultant to the Ontario wineries.

In 1999 he created WineSavvy Consultants a Niagara based Wine Education Company catering to both consumers and industry professionals. Evan's philosophy in teaching provides a fun and friendly approach, while at the same time taking the snobbery out of the subject, in a relaxed atmosphere.

Recognizing the quality of the courses offered at Winesavvy, Human Resources Training Canada officially certified them in 2004. Courses are offered every September and January.
