What exactly is Wine This Week?
Wine This
Week has partnered with the Finest Wineries in Ontario to help promote Ontario wines and to make their rare, premium and limited edition
wines available to all Ontarians easily.

What are the shipping charges and taxes involved?
Price of our
wine is all inclusive of taxes. Starting recently, a 10 or 20 cent deposit is required by law on most wine bottles (empty bottles can be taken back to any beer store for a refund). Even though you can create multi-winery orders, your order is shipped out as separate single-winery orders. Single-winery orders containing more than 12 bottles are shipped FREE. Otherwise, $10.95 per Winery applies if less than 12 bottles are ordered from a Winery.
Is there a minimum number of bottles I need to Order?
There are no minimums required at winethisweek.ca! However, a One bottle order will incur the same shipping rate as a multi-bottle order (unless you order more than 12, in which case the winery order is shipped free). Besides, most of our wines are limited edition, and may not be available again at a later date anywhere if you love the wine and want to order more.
How are my wines packed and shipped? Are they safe?
Wines are packed in boxes
made specifically for wine bottles, and breakages are rare. The boxes are made out of double wall corrugated cardboard and with sufficient
cushioning to make sure that wine bottles are well protected. All our packing material is envionmentally friendly.
Your wines are shipped directly from the Winery or from WineThisWeek, where they are stored under very controlled conditions. For most places in Ontario, our courier will deliver the wine to your doorstep at home or work. Our courier vans are temperature controlled and the staff takes enormous care in ensuring the quality of your wine.
What if the
wine bottles are broken or have incorrect/missing bottles when I receive them?
WineThisWeek offers unmatched 100% customer satisfaction guarantee to its customers. However, we do request your cooperation in following the correct procedures as required by our insurance policy. In the rare situation that you receive a broken/damaged/incorrect package, please have the delivery agent note it on the signature sheet and send us an email with the details. We will have the issue rectified right away and send you any additional bottles as required the next time the courier is in your area (usually a couple of days). Please note that a signature on delivery with no notation relieves the courier agent of any liability for broken or misplaced bottles and a replacement can not be made. Therefore, please check your shipment prior to signing the delivery document.
What if I don't like the wine or it is spoilt/oxidized/corked?
We only work with premium Wineries which pride themselves on the quality of wine they produce. Send us an email at customerservice@winethisweek.ca with details of the issue and we will work with our winery partners to get you a refund or replacement. We might ask you to return the unused portion of the wine.
What if I am
not at home or work when the delivery is made?
Because Ontario law requires a delivery signature of a individual who is 19 years or older, wine can usually not be left at the door by the delivery agent. The agent will usually leave a note with a phone number asking you to call them within 3 days to arrange a re-delivery. When you call, you can also request to pick it up yourself from their depot. If they do not hear from you within 3 days, the package will be returned back to the sender and shipping charges will become non-refundable (most folks find it convenient to have their wines shipped to their work address to ensure someone is available to sign for the delivery).
Is my
information safe if I sign up or order through wine this week?
We never share ANY of your information with ANYONE - period! We take your privacy very seriously. We don't like receiving spam ourselves and we want the same for our customers! No financial information is ever stored or handled on our servers. All financial transactions are handled entirely by one of the safest payment gateways in the world - Paypal and Verisign.
How do I
sign up with Wine This Week?
With just a couple of clicks, you can
quickly sign up with Wine This Week. You can also buy at winethisweek.ca without signing up or creating an acocunt. However, creating an account allows you to track your orders online. Tip: Once you login to your account,
you can store your address - which will make checking out very quick and easy because most fields will be pre-populated for you when you check out. Your address is not used for ANY other purpose. That way you don't have to enter this information each time you order.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Ontario law requires that payment be received in full before an order for alcoholic beverages can be shipped. Payments can be made securely using any major credit card or your bank account.
Can I order from more than one winery on the same Order?
Yes! But these will be shipped out as separate single-winery orders.
How can I
track my order?
Once your
order is shipped from the winery, the tracking number is updated in your account
and can be tracked from MY ORDERS within your account.
How do expert reviews help me select a wine?
These reviews
are written by top wine and food experts in Canada. This is done to ensure you get an
unbiased view of what experts in the wine and food industry think about a particular
wine, along with suggested food pairings. The best part is that all this information is
completely FREE and available to everyone.

In under 2 minutes, tell us what appeals to your Taste Buds. Then, create your own custom taste compatibility reports with any wine on WineThisWeek.ca at the click of a button. The system essentially compares your preferences and your weightage points for taste versus aroma, to the characteristics of the wine, and does detailed compatibility match calculations. While all of this happens in the back end, what you get is an easy to view final report which fully explains each section. We understand taste is very subjective, and this feature merely attempts to provide a guideline, which has been found extremely helpful by most people who participated in our survey. This powerful and easy to use software has been designed with the help of Canada's top Wine Experts and some of the best computer programmers around!

Absolutely! We can send you an email (available as an option once you log in) the moment a new wine is released. We will soon be providing a text message option as well!
